Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as Sustainable Forestry Labourers for seasonal tree planting and general forestry work in the Gloucester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who love working outdoors, are passionate about environmental conservation, and are looking for a physically active role. No prior experience in forestry is required as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in reforesting areas, maintaining forest health, and contributing to our sustainable land management goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in tree planting operations, ensuring proper planting techniques and spacing.
  • Prepare sites for planting, including clearing brush and debris as directed.
  • Assist with general forest maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning, and trail upkeep.
  • Operate basic hand tools and small machinery safely and efficiently after training.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily and weekly targets.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or site issues to the team leader.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina for demanding manual labour.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A full UK driving license and access to reliable transport.

  • Current First Aid certification.
