Job Description
Join our team at Wodonga Timber Systems as a Timber Truss Fabricator and embark on a rewarding career where you’ll learn the essential skills to build custom timber roof and floor trusses. This is an incredible opportunity for individuals eager to start a hands-on trade, even with no prior experience in timber fabrication. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, teaching you everything from reading plans to operating specialized machinery and ensuring product quality. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and interpret timber truss and frame production plans and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble timber components according to precise measurements.
- Operate various timber cutting and assembly machinery safely and efficiently (full training provided).
- Secure timber components using specialized fasteners and plates.
- Perform quality checks on finished trusses and frames to ensure compliance with standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading timber and finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures and guidelines.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurement and calculation.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting.
- Reliable and punctual.

- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with hand tools or power tools (advantageous but not required).
- Construction Induction Card (White Card) (can be obtained after hire).
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
