Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Tool Store Assistant to join our team in Cork. This role focuses on maintaining a clean and organised store environment, assisting customers with their needs, and ensuring our tools and equipment are well-presented. If you are someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys a structured day shift, and has a passion for helping others, we encourage you to apply. Full training will be provided, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in locating tools and advising on suitable products.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the tool department and storage areas.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, and ensure accurate pricing and display.
- Process customer transactions accurately at the till point.
- Receive and unpack deliveries, checking for discrepancies and damages.
- Support inventory management through regular stock counts and audits.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for transactions and inventory.
- Reliability and punctuality for day shifts.
- Physical ability to lift and move merchandise up to 20kg.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
