Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Monitoring Dispatcher to join our team in Cork. This critical role involves monitoring security systems, responding to alarms, and dispatching appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working night shifts. This is a licensed role, requiring the successful applicant to hold or obtain the necessary security licenses for Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems, access control, and alarm panels for multiple client sites.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all incoming alarms and security incidents.
- Dispatch security personnel, emergency services (police, fire, ambulance), or maintenance teams according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and detailed incident reports, documenting all activities and responses.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with field officers, clients, and emergency contacts.
- Utilize various security software and communication tools efficiently.
- Perform regular system checks to ensure all monitoring equipment is fully operational.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and relevant Irish security regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid PSA Static Guarding license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
- Proven experience in a monitoring, dispatch, or security control room environment (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and standard office software.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with specific security monitoring software platforms.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local Cork geography and emergency response protocols.
