Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Traffic Cone Setup Helper to join our highway maintenance support team in Spartanburg, SC. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in construction and infrastructure, offering comprehensive on-the-job training. As a Traffic Cone Setup Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our work crews and the traveling public by properly setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices in active work zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the deployment, placement, and retrieval of traffic cones, barrels, signs, and other temporary traffic control devices as directed.
  • Monitor traffic control setups to ensure they remain in proper position and condition throughout the work shift.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding work zone conditions and potential hazards.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as state and federal traffic control regulations.
  • Perform general labor tasks as needed to support highway maintenance and construction activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and vehicles.
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
