Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable Train Station Waiting Room Cleaner to join our facilities team in Wakefield. This is a public-facing role requiring excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that our station waiting rooms are spotless and hygienic for passengers throughout various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Full training will be provided to ensure you meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all surfaces, seating areas, and fixtures within waiting rooms.
  • Empty and clean bins, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly to maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Clean and restock restroom facilities located within or adjacent to waiting rooms, if applicable.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with the public while performing duties.
  • Manage cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently.
  • Be prepared to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as part of a rotating roster.
