Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify faults and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and specialized tools to resolve complex technical issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies, promoting a culture of safety.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used, accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with site managers, engineering teams, and other technicians to optimize turbine performance and reliability.
- Participate in the commissioning of new wind turbines and major component exchanges.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
Required Skills
- Associate's degree or vocational certification in Wind Energy, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and operational manuals.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or in a related heavy industrial or field service role.
- Global Wind Organisation (GWO) certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival).
- Experience with SCADA systems and turbine control software.
- Familiarity with specific turbine platforms (e.g., Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, GE).
- Previous international work experience or experience in a multicultural environment.
