Job Description

Are you passionate about public health and eager to make a difference in your community? We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our Public Health team as Trainee Contact Tracers. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required, as full comprehensive training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in helping to control the spread of infectious diseases by contacting individuals who have been exposed to a confirmed case, providing essential advice, and gathering information to support public health interventions. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to public service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive comprehensive training on contact tracing protocols and public health guidelines.
  • Conduct confidential interviews with individuals who have tested positive for an infectious disease.
  • Identify and notify close contacts of confirmed cases, providing clear and concise information.
  • Offer advice on self-isolation, testing procedures, and available support services.
  • Accurately record information into a secure database, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the wider public health team to ensure effective disease control.
  • Adhere to all data protection and privacy regulations.
