Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Civil Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team in Mott Haven, Bronx. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring civil engineer to gain hands-on experience in site visits, project management support, and various aspects of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers, contributing to critical infrastructure projects in the New York City area. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and apply theoretical knowledge in a practical, fast-paced environment. Full training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers and engineers with daily project tasks and coordination.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, document conditions, and collect data.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
  • Help in organizing and maintaining project files and records.
  • Participate in project meetings, taking notes and tracking action items.
  • Assist with basic engineering calculations and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong interest in infrastructure, construction, and project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
  • Previous experience with data collection or field work (even if academic).
  • Valid driver's license (for potential travel to various site locations).
