Job Description

Orkin Canada is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Pest Control Technicians. No prior experience in pest control is required! We provide full, comprehensive training that will equip you with all the knowledge and skills needed to become a certified pest control professional. This role comes with a company vehicle, allowing you to serve our valued customers across the Gibsons and Sunshine Coast region. If you’re a hands-on learner with a strong work ethic and a desire to help others, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Complete an intensive paid training program to learn pest identification, treatment methods, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
- Operate and maintain a company vehicle to travel to customer locations daily.
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest problems and potential entry points.
- Apply pest control treatments safely and effectively, following all company and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining services, findings, and prevention tips.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport and trust with clients.
Required Skills
- Valid Canadian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in confined spaces.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, crawl, bend, and kneel regularly.
- Commitment to learning and adhering to safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Gibsons and Sunshine Coast area.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
