Job Description

BDO LLP in Brighton is looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Public Accountant to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for someone with no prior experience in accounting, offering comprehensive training, mentorship, and full financial support for your professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA). You will play a vital role in supporting our client service teams, gaining hands-on experience across various aspects of public accounting, and contributing to the success of diverse businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior team members with audit engagements, including testing controls and substantive procedures.
- Prepare working papers and schedules for financial statements.
- Support in the preparation of tax computations for individuals and corporations.
- Perform data entry and reconciliation tasks accurately.
- Maintain client records and documentation in an organized manner.
- Learn and utilize various accounting software and internal systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients under supervision.
- Participate in internal training sessions and professional development programs.
- Contribute to administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
