Job Description
Are you a night owl looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Night Porter at the Hilton Brighton Metropole. This entry-level position is perfect for those who are eager to start a career in hospitality, as full comprehensive training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and smooth operation of the hotel during the quiet night hours, providing exceptional service to our guests and supporting the front desk and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to ensure security and safety for all guests and staff.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests, inquiries, and any emergencies during the night shift.
- Assist guests with luggage, parking, and other needs, providing a courteous and helpful service.
- Perform light administrative duties, including checking in/out guests, handling phone calls, and processing late-night arrivals.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, reporting any unusual activity or incidents.
- Ensure public areas are clean, tidy, and ready for the morning shift.
- Prepare meeting rooms or public spaces as required for early morning events.
- Collaborate with the night audit team and other departments to maintain seamless operations.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- No prior experience in hospitality is required – full training will be provided.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to night shift patterns.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and guest satisfaction.
- Basic computer literacy.
