Job Description
As a Senior UI/UX Designer at CGI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and interface for our diverse range of client projects. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced designer to lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and drive the adoption of best practices in UI/UX across our organization. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process from concept to execution for complex digital products and services.
- Conduct comprehensive user research, usability testing, and analyze user feedback to inform design decisions.
- Create intuitive wireframes, interactive prototypes, logical user flows, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and seamless implementation.
- Develop and maintain robust design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and efficiency across all products.
- Mentor and guide junior UI/UX designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Act as an advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Present design concepts and solutions to internal teams and clients, articulating design rationale effectively and persuasively.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful digital projects.
- Expert proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Deep expertise in user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and responsive design methodologies.
- Strong understanding of current web and mobile technologies and their practical impact on design decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to lead design projects, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Extensive experience in conducting user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to enhance collaboration with engineering teams.
- Experience with animation and motion design principles to create engaging user interfaces.
- Master's degree in a design-related field.
- Experience with enterprise-level software design and complex system interfaces.
