Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic University Lecturer to join our esteemed faculty. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our academic programs, engage in high-quality research, and inspire the next generation of professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions, developing course materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic support and guidance. This is an on-site position based in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching sessions across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Develop engaging and innovative course materials, including lecture notes, assignments, and practical exercises.
- Assess student coursework, examinations, and projects, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Supervise student dissertations, research projects, and placements.
- Undertake personal research, generate publications, and apply for external research funding.
- Act as a personal tutor, offering academic and pastoral support to students.
- Participate in curriculum development, program review, and quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to the administrative and committee work of the department and faculty.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge.
Required Skills
- PhD or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality university-level teaching.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to conduct independent research and contribute to scholarly publications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
