Job Description

Intact Insurance is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Vehicle Damage Estimator. No prior experience in vehicle damage estimation is required for this role – we are looking for an eager learner with a passion for customer service and problem-solving. You will undergo comprehensive training to become proficient in assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and guiding our clients through the claims process. This entry-level position is perfect for someone detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, and a desire to build a long-term career with a leading insurance provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all training programs and mentorship opportunities provided to learn vehicle damage assessment.
- Under supervision, inspect damaged vehicles to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs.
- Learn to use estimating software to prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates in compliance with company guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, repair shops, and internal teams regarding estimates and claims status.
- Document all findings and interactions thoroughly and accurately.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques, parts, and insurance industry standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Strong aptitude for learning and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new software.
