Job Description
Are you an experienced driver with an impeccable record and a passion for the open road? Enterprise Rent-A-Car is seeking dedicated Vehicle Relocation Drivers to transport vehicles safely and efficiently between our various branch locations and other designated sites. This role is crucial for maintaining our fleet’s availability and ensuring our customers always have access to the right vehicle. Travel is an inherent part of this position, and expenses associated with travel will be covered.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport vehicles between Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch locations and other designated points.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all vehicles are in good working condition and report any defects or damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and mileage records for all trips.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with dispatch and branch personnel to optimize vehicle movement and logistics.
- Ensure vehicles are clean and presentable upon delivery.
- Assist with minor vehicle tasks such as fueling or basic checks as needed.
- Manage travel logistics, including route planning and occasional overnight stays as required.
Required Skills
- Valid US Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3-5 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience (e.g., delivery driver, courier, truck driver, etc.).
- Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicle types, including sedans, SUVs, and vans.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and navigate efficiently.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Comfortable with frequent travel, including potential overnight trips.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with vehicle logistics or fleet management systems.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to identify minor vehicle issues.
- Familiarity with the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
