Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Vending Machine Operator to join our team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. As a Vending Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the daily stocking, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of vending machines across various client sites within the Harrogate area. This is an entry-level position, and full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with all the necessary skills to succeed. Key Responsibilities
- Refill vending machines with products such as snacks, beverages, and other items according to established schedules and par levels.
- Monitor product freshness and expiration dates, rotating stock as necessary to minimize waste.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of vending machines to ensure proper functionality and a presentable appearance.
- Collect cash and other payment methods from machines and accurately record sales data.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines; escalate complex issues to technical support.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and order supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and address any inquiries or issues related to vending services.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25kg) and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily route efficiently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a route-based service role (e.g., delivery driver, merchandiser) is a plus but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for simple repairs.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
