Job Description
Join MelodyStream Academy as a Virtual Music Teacher specializing in Piano and Guitar. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your musical passion and expertise with students globally, all from the comfort of your own home. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and personalized online music lessons via webcam, guiding students through their learning journey, and fostering a love for music. We provide the platform, the students, and the support; you bring the talent and enthusiasm.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, personalized piano and/or guitar lessons via live webcam.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to student needs, goals, and skill levels.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and engaging virtual learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians.
- Manage lesson scheduling and availability through our online platform.
- Stay updated with best practices in online music education.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in playing and teaching Piano and/or Guitar.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with online teaching platforms or video conferencing tools.
- Ability to create engaging and structured lesson plans.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and suitable teaching setup (webcam, microphone).
- Patience and passion for teaching music to diverse age groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Music degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Prior experience teaching music in a formal or informal setting (online or in-person) for at least 1 year.
- Familiarity with music theory and ear training methodologies.
- Ability to teach multiple genres (classical, jazz, pop, etc.).
- DBS check (or equivalent background check) if teaching minors.
