Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospital Porter to join our vital team. This is an entry-level, full-time position offering comprehensive training for individuals with no prior experience in a hospital setting. As a Hospital Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hospital, directly impacting patient care by moving patients, equipment, and vital supplies safely and punctually. Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients, including those with mobility issues, to and from wards, departments, and operating theatres.
- Move medical equipment, beds, trolleys, and supplies throughout the hospital.
- Deliver and collect specimens, medication, mail, and other urgent items.
- Assist with the transfer of deceased patients to the mortuary, showing sensitivity and respect.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hospital policies.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Respond promptly to requests and prioritise tasks efficiently.
