Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented individual to join our marketing team as a Virtual Pinterest / Instagram Board Curator. This is a 100% remote role designed for someone passionate about home improvement, interior design, DIY projects, and visual storytelling on social media platforms. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and maintaining engaging Pinterest boards and Instagram collections that align with our brand aesthetic, current trends, and marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a strong understanding of visual merchandising, and the ability to translate strategic goals into compelling visual content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and curate compelling Pinterest boards and Instagram collections that reflect brand identity, product lines, and seasonal themes.
- Research and identify trending topics, aesthetics, and user behaviors on Pinterest and Instagram related to home improvement and DIY.
- Source, select, and organize high-quality visual content (images, videos, graphics) from various internal and external sources.
- Write concise, engaging, and SEO-friendly descriptions and captions for all curated content.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and product teams to ensure alignment with broader marketing strategies and product launches.
- Monitor performance metrics of curated boards and collections, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Stay up-to-date with Pinterest and Instagram platform updates, new features, and best practices.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style across all platforms.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated passion for home improvement, interior design, and DIY projects.
- Excellent visual curation and storytelling abilities.
- Proficiency in using Pinterest and Instagram for content discovery and organization.
- Strong understanding of visual composition, color theory, and aesthetic trends.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Excellent written communication skills for crafting engaging captions and descriptions.
- Basic photo editing skills (e.g., cropping, resizing) using standard software or online tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other visual social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Houzz).
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Pinterest Analytics, Instagram Insights).
- Prior experience in a creative, marketing, or social media role, even in an informal capacity.
- Degree or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
