Job Description

Are you passionate about photography and looking for a flexible, 100% remote opportunity to showcase your skills? Wayfair is seeking enthusiastic Virtual Product Photographers to capture high-quality images of various home goods and decor items. In this unique role, products will be shipped directly to your home, where you will be responsible for setting up appealing shots, photographing the items according to our brand guidelines, and submitting the final edited images. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work on your own schedule while contributing to a leading e-commerce platform. Full training on our specific photography guidelines and editing processes will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals even without prior professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unbox, and meticulously care for products shipped directly to your home studio/space.
• Set up attractive and well-lit product shots following Wayfair's detailed visual guidelines and creative briefs.
• Capture high-resolution, professional-quality images from multiple required angles.
• Perform basic image editing tasks including cropping, color correction, and background clean-up using specified software.
• Meet all submission deadlines for image delivery to ensure timely product launches.
• Accurately package and prepare products for return shipment, if required, following provided instructions.
• Maintain organized records of all received, photographed, and returned products.
• Communicate effectively and proactively with the photography coordination team regarding project status and any challenges.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with a digital camera (DSLR or mirrorless) and basic photography equipment.
• Basic understanding of lighting principles and photographic composition.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere strictly to brand visual guidelines.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Reliable internet connection and basic computer proficiency for uploading images and communication.
• Access to a suitable, clean space at home for product photography.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with product photography, still-life photography, or e-commerce imagery.
• Familiarity with photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.
• Basic understanding of studio lighting equipment (e.g., softboxes, LED panels).
• A portfolio demonstrating photography skills (personal projects welcome).
• Excellent time management abilities.
