Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented WFH Data Analyst to join our remote research and data team. This role is crucial for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to inform strategic decisions. You will be responsible for turning raw data into actionable insights, supporting various departments with data-driven recommendations, and contributing to the enhancement of our data infrastructure and reporting capabilities. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various sources.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis using statistical methods and data visualization tools.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Contribute to the improvement of data quality, data governance, and data warehousing practices.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
  • Understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL processes.
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry.
