Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Wildlife Rescue Center Laborer to join our dedicated team. This vital role focuses primarily on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities, ensuring a healthy and stress-free environment for recovering animals. While this position involves heavy cleaning and manual tasks, it offers immense personal satisfaction knowing your efforts directly contribute to animal welfare. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily heavy cleaning and disinfection of animal enclosures, kennels, and aviaries.
- Clean and sanitize feeding dishes, water bowls, and other animal care equipment.
- Mop, sweep, and scrub floors in various facilities including treatment rooms, offices, and public areas.
- Manage waste disposal, including animal waste, soiled bedding, and general refuse.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including tidying pathways, raking leaves, and general upkeep.
- Help with basic repairs and maintenance tasks around the center as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning protocols and health and safety guidelines are strictly followed.
- Report any maintenance issues or supply needs to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to strict bio-security measures to prevent the spread of illness.
