Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Wind Turbine Technicians/Engineers to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our wind turbine fleet, performing essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
- Execute corrective actions efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Complete detailed reports on maintenance activities, turbine performance, and component replacements.
- Collaborate with site managers, engineering teams, and other technicians to optimize turbine performance and identify potential improvements.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry best practices and new technologies.
Required Skills
- Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering/Technology.
- Proven experience in electrical and mechanical systems, preferably within an industrial or energy context.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols related to industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various wind farm sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working on wind turbines or in the renewable energy sector.
- Certification in specific turbine platforms (e.g., GE, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa).
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring tools.
- Advanced electrical troubleshooting capabilities (e.g., medium voltage, PLC).
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
