Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Winery Tasting Room Pourers. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to learn about wine in a fun, educational, and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for guiding guests through our wine tasting experiences, sharing the story of LaBelle Winery, and ensuring every visitor has a memorable and positive interaction. Full training on our wines, history, and pouring techniques will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and eager to delve into the world of wine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests to the tasting room with warmth and enthusiasm.
  • Conduct guided wine tastings, educating guests about LaBelle Winery's history, winemaking process, and specific wine characteristics.
  • Effectively describe and sell wines, memberships, and retail merchandise.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting tasting room environment.
  • Restock wine and retail merchandise as needed.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the tasting room.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and grace.
  • Adhere to all local and state alcohol beverage control laws and regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing wine education and training programs.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
