Job Description
Are you passionate about architecture and eager to gain hands-on experience in a vibrant studio environment? Northpoint Architecture & Design is offering an exciting work experience opportunity for individuals looking to explore the architectural profession. This entry-level position is designed to provide invaluable exposure to the daily operations of an architectural practice, offering a foundational understanding of design processes, project development, and professional practice. No prior experience is required; we are looking for enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and contribute. Full training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and assist architects and designers with various project tasks.
- Learn about architectural drafting, design software, and model-making techniques.
- Participate in studio meetings and discussions, gaining insight into project decision-making.
- Assist with general office duties, including organizing project files and materials.
- Research materials, building codes, and design precedents under supervision.
- Shadow team members on site visits (where applicable and safe).
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative studio environment.
Required Skills
- Strong enthusiasm and a genuine interest in architecture and design.
- Eagerness and willingness to learn new concepts and software.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
