Job Description
Are you passionate about live sports and eager to kick-start a career in broadcast production? Rogers Sports & Media is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Live Sports Camera Operators (Trainee) for weekend matches in Mississauga. This is a unique entry-level opportunity where no prior experience is required! We are looking for dedicated individuals who are ready to learn, possess a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced live environment. You will receive comprehensive training from experienced professionals, learning the ins and outs of live sports camera operation, equipment setup, and broadcast techniques. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all provided training sessions.
- Learn to set up, operate, and troubleshoot broadcast camera equipment under supervision.
- Capture key moments and action during live weekend sports matches.
- Work collaboratively with the production team, including directors, producers, and audio engineers.
- Adhere to strict broadcast schedules and quality standards.
- Maintain and care for assigned equipment.
- Be available to work primarily on weekends, as per match schedules.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated passion for sports and live events.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, primarily on weekends and occasional evenings.
- Physical ability to lift and move camera equipment (within reasonable limits, with assistance).

- Basic familiarity with common sports rules and terminology.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented environment.
