Job Description
Are you passionate about pets and love spending time outdoors? The Pet People of State College is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dog Walking Route Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic individual to manage and execute daily dog walking routes, ensuring the safety, happiness, and well-being of our canine clients. You will be responsible for a set route, building strong relationships with both pets and their owners, and enjoying the benefits of independent outdoor work in the State College area. This role requires excellent time management, a proactive approach, and a genuine love for animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute a daily route of dog walks, adhering to scheduled times and client preferences.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs under your care, including proper leash handling, waste removal, and supervision.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pet's activities and any observations.
- Maintain accurate records of walks, client notes, and any incidents.
- Provide basic pet care as needed during walks (e.g., water refills, towel-offs).
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Report any concerns or issues regarding a pet's health or behavior to management promptly.
- Potentially assist with scheduling and optimizing routes for other walkers as the role grows.
