Job Description
We are seeking a warm, proactive, and highly organised Concierge to join our esteemed team at Hilton Aberdeen TECA. The Concierge plays a pivotal role in shaping our guests’ experience, serving as the first point of contact and an invaluable resource for information, assistance, and local insights. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests and visitors upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage and directions.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, local attractions, dining options, transportation, and events in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.
- Handle guest requests promptly and efficiently, including making reservations for restaurants, tours, and taxis.
- Assist with package and mail handling, ensuring accurate delivery and collection.
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and welcoming lobby and Concierge desk area.
- Anticipate guest needs and offer proactive solutions to enhance their stay.
- Collaborate closely with the Front Desk, Bell Staff, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Handle guest inquiries and minor complaints with professionalism and discretion, escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel events, local happenings, and emergency procedures.
- Adhere to all hotel policies, safety standards, and service protocols.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and engaging demeanour.
- Strong knowledge of Aberdeen's attractions, dining, entertainment, and transportation options.
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach to guest service.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., hotel management software, Microsoft Office Suite).
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Concierge or Bell Attendant.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- Knowledge of Hilton brand standards and systems.
- Valid UK driving license.
