Job Description
We are excited to offer an invaluable opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Social Worker Assistant. This is a government-funded training position designed for individuals with no prior experience in social work, providing you with the essential skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to embark on a fulfilling career in social care. You will work alongside experienced social workers, supporting them in their daily tasks and learning the fundamentals of person-centred care, safeguarding, and community support. This role is perfect for someone dedicated to making a positive impact and eager to learn within a dynamic public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified social workers with administrative and practical tasks.
- Support clients during appointments and community visits, as directed.
- Help maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
- Engage with service users and their families in a respectful and empathetic manner.
- Undertake all provided training modules and continuous professional development.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Support the coordination of services and resources for individuals and families.
