Job Description
We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Live-In Carers to join our growing team in Nottingham. This is a unique opportunity for skilled carers looking for full visa sponsorship to live and work in the UK. As a Live-In Carer, you will provide comprehensive, round-the-clock support to clients within their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, personal care, medication management, meal preparation, companionship, and household tasks. We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of others, possess a strong work ethic, and are adaptable to various client needs and home environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care tailored to individual client needs, promoting dignity and independence.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer or prompt medication in accordance with care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as required.
- Perform light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Manage and maintain accurate care records and report any changes in client condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care management team.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for the client.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years professional care experience (e.g., in a care home, hospital, or domiciliary setting).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Understanding of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Eligibility for UK visa sponsorship (we will facilitate the process).
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Live-In Carer.
- Driving license (though not always essential, can be beneficial for certain placements).
- Specialist training in areas such as dementia care, Parkinson's care, or stroke rehabilitation.
