Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Reach Truck Driver to join our dynamic team at the Dundee Distribution Centre. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our busy warehouse, operating a reach truck to stack, retrieve, and transport materials. Your ability to maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity will be key to ensuring our operations run smoothly and our shelves remain stocked. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Reach Truck safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move products and materials.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any defects immediately.
- Ensure accurate handling and storage of goods in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Manual handling of goods as required to support warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Valid Reach Truck (RTITB or equivalent) license/certification.
- Proven experience operating a Reach Truck in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a large-scale distribution centre.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Additional MHE licenses (e.g., Counterbalance, VNA).
- Basic computer literacy.
