Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as a Cafe Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves coffee, enjoys interacting with people, and thrives in a dynamic environment. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a fantastic experience, from preparing beverages to maintaining a clean and inviting store. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and other drinks, following Costa Coffee's high standards.
- Assist with food preparation, including warming pastries, making sandwiches, and plating other menu items.
- Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders, handling transactions accurately, and responding to customer inquiries with a friendly and helpful approach.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including the coffee machine, food display areas, and customer seating areas.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Handle cash and card payments using the till system, ensuring accuracy.
- Restock supplies and ensure all products are readily available for customers.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
