Job Description

Are you looking for an easy, rewarding summer job with no experience required? AquaSense Pool Services is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Swimming Pool Water Testers / Monitors. This entry-level position is perfect for students, retirees, or anyone looking to enjoy an active summer outdoors while making a tangible difference in pool safety and enjoyment. We provide comprehensive training, so you’ll be fully equipped to handle all responsibilities. All you need is a willingness to learn and a positive attitude!

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to various residential and commercial pool locations within Kitchener and surrounding areas.
  • Collect water samples from designated swimming pools using provided equipment.
  • Perform on-site chemical testing of pool water for pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other key parameters.
  • Accurately record all test results and observations using a digital tablet or logbook.
  • Report any significant deviations or issues to a senior technician for immediate follow-up.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper function of testing equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Provide friendly and professional interaction with clients when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between job sites (valid driver's license preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic computer or tablet literacy for data entry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid G-class driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Familiarity with the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
