Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our administrative team as an Entry Level Local Council Invoice Processor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in public administration and gain valuable experience in financial processing within a municipal setting. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success in this vital role. You will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting various administrative functions critical to the city’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process invoices for various city departments and vendors.
  • Verify accuracy of invoice data, including vendor details, amounts, and coding.
  • Enter invoice information into the city's financial management system with precision.
  • Reconcile discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal departments.
  • Maintain organized and confidential digital and physical financial records.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures related to invoice processing.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding invoice status and payment information.
  • Support general administrative tasks as needed within the department.
  • Adhere to all financial policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
