Job Description
We are offering an exciting clinical placement opportunity for a Medical Imaging Student at Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. This placement provides an invaluable hands-on learning experience in a real-world hospital setting. Under the direct supervision of experienced radiographers and medical imaging professionals, you will gain practical exposure to various imaging modalities and patient care protocols. This is a unique chance to apply theoretical knowledge, develop essential clinical skills, and contribute to patient well-being in a supportive environment. Full training and mentorship will be provided throughout the placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and assist qualified medical imaging professionals in diagnostic procedures.
- Learn to operate medical imaging equipment under strict supervision.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation for imaging examinations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Document observations and participate in case discussions.

Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Medical Imaging or Radiography program.
- Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of foundational theoretical coursework in medical imaging.
- Prior volunteer or observation experience in a healthcare setting.
