Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Shipyard / Dockyard Workers in Powell River, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the marine industry, with full training provided for specific tasks. Visa support is available for eligible international candidates who are eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. You will be integral to the maintenance, repair, and construction of various marine vessels and structures, ensuring all operations meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the repair, maintenance, and construction of marine vessels and components.
- Perform general labour tasks, including cleaning, grinding, sanding, and preparing surfaces.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Load, unload, and move materials, equipment, and supplies around the shipyard.
- Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and company policies rigorously.
- Support skilled tradespeople (welders, pipefitters, electricians) as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
