Job Description
Are you passionate about creating sweet experiences for others? Purdy’s Chocolatier in Dartmouth is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Gourmet Chocolate Shop Cashier to join our team, especially as we prepare for the bustling holiday season. As a key front-line team member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and helping customers discover their new favorite chocolates. This role offers the unique perk of free samples and involves working holiday hours to meet customer demand. We seek individuals who are eager to learn, reliable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, festive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections, offering expert advice on chocolate varieties and pairings.
- Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and display areas, ensuring products are well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Package chocolates beautifully and efficiently for customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking new shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for all customers.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak seasons.
