Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Valid professional license/registration in a healthcare discipline (e.g., RN, MD, PT, OT, MLT, LPN) from a recognized regulatory body.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-registration clinical experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex healthcare environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant healthcare field.
- Specialized certifications or advanced training in a specific area (e.g., Critical Care, Emergency, Pediatrics).
- Experience with Canadian healthcare systems or international equivalency.
- Proficiency in additional languages relevant to Vancouver's diverse population (e.g., Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi).
