Job Description
Join the team at Woolworths Group in Dandenong South as a Casual Warehouse Picker on a day roster. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking for flexible work within a dynamic and supportive environment. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing orders, contributing to the efficient flow of goods, and maintaining a high standard of safety and organisation. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specified requirements
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and trolleys safely and efficiently (training provided)
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, company policies, and operational guidelines
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and general warehouse duties
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily picking targets and dispatch schedules
- Perform quality checks on picked items to ensure accuracy and minimise errors
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move goods comfortably
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to reliability and punctuality
- Keen attention to detail to ensure picking accuracy
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for understanding orders and instructions
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (desirable but not essential)
- Current forklift licence (reach or counterbalance) is a bonus but not required for this specific role
- Flexibility to work various shifts within a day roster, including weekends when required
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to work
