Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Port Security Officers at a prominent government facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to start a career in security, with no prior experience required. We provide comprehensive paid training to equip you with all the necessary skills and certifications to become a fully capable Port Security Officer. You will learn to enforce security regulations, monitor activities, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents to protect personnel, property, and sensitive information at our government-operated port facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all required training programs and modules.
- Learn and adhere to all security policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas within the port and facility premises.
- Monitor surveillance systems and access control points.
- Inspect vehicles, cargo, and personnel entering and exiting the facility.
- Respond to alarms and security breaches, following established protocols.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and crisis management.
- Maintain a professional and vigilant presence at all times.
- Collaborate with senior officers and other security personnel.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
