Job Description
We are seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our team as a Day Shift Site Hand for casual work in Alice Springs. This role involves assisting with various on-site tasks to support our project operations, primarily during day shifts. If you are looking for flexible work, enjoy hands-on tasks, and are committed to workplace safety, we encourage you to apply. Full training and site induction will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials and equipment on site.
- Perform general site clean-up and maintenance duties.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools as required, under supervision.
- Support skilled tradespeople and operators with their tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with traffic management as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Report any hazards or incidents to site supervision immediately.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar labouring or site-based role (3+ months).
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Current Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- First Aid certification.
