Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Settlement Clerk to join our Financial Services team in Mackay. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual to contribute to the smooth operation of our banking services and develop a foundational career in the financial sector. You will play a crucial role in the post-trade life cycle, involving the reconciliation and finalisation of various financial instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and settle a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile daily settlement statements and identify any discrepancies.
- Liaise with internal departments and external parties to resolve settlement issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all settlement activities.
- Ensure all transactions comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to settlement activities.
- Proactively identify and escalate potential risks or operational issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the settlement process.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
