Job Description

Toll Global Forwarding (Australia) is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals for our Marine Engineer Cadet program. This entry-level opportunity provides comprehensive training and hands-on experience aboard our modern coastal vessels, operating out of Mildura and along various Australian shipping routes. As a Cadet, you will receive world-class mentorship and practical instruction from experienced Marine Engineers, learning the intricate workings of vessel propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and essential maintenance procedures. No prior maritime experience is required – we provide full training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to become a competent and certified Marine Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all aspects of the structured cadet training program.
  • Assist qualified Marine Engineers with routine engine room operations, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
  • Learn about propulsion systems, power generation, refrigeration, and other vital shipboard machinery.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records as part of the engineering team.
  • Undertake practical tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Develop a strong understanding of vessel systems and emergency procedures.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment aboard the vessel.
