Job Description
Join GardaWorld as a Gated Community Security Guard in Sainte-Foy, Quebec City! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a stable and comfortable security position within a friendly, residential setting. As a Security Guard, you will be the welcoming face of the community, ensuring the safety and tranquility of residents while performing essential access control duties. This role emphasizes a calm demeanor, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and pleasant environment. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor access points for residents and approved visitors.
- Verify identification and issue temporary passes as needed.
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas (primarily focused on monitoring, some light walking may be required).
- Respond to alarms and emergencies according to established protocols.
- Maintain detailed logs and submit accurate incident reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to residents and visitors.
- Enforce community rules and regulations professionally.
- Operate CCTV and other security equipment efficiently.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in various situations.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and reporting.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
