Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Honey Harvesters. This is a temporary, full-time on-site position based at our apiary operations in Goulburn, NSW, for the upcoming honey season. You will be an integral part of our harvesting team, working directly with bee hives to collect and extract our premium honey. No prior experience in beekeeping is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of the role. All essential safety gear and harvesting equipment will be supplied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the inspection and assessment of bee hives for honey readiness.
  • Carefully removing honey frames from hives with guidance.
  • Transporting frames to the extraction facility.
  • Operating honey extraction equipment (e.g., uncappers, extractors) under supervision.
  • Cleaning and maintaining harvesting equipment and work areas.
  • Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and hygiene standards, especially when working with bees.
  • Working cooperatively as part of a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Performing other general farm duties as required during the harvesting period.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting moderate weights (up to 25kg) and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in close proximity to bees (appropriate protective gear will be provided).
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or outdoor labor roles is a bonus but not essential.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transport to our Goulburn location.
  • Basic understanding of machinery operation or willingness to learn.
