Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Fleet Coordinator to join our operations team in Traralgon. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the efficient coordination and management of our fleet of vehicles and drivers, ensuring seamless logistics operations and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards. You will play a crucial part in optimizing routes, scheduling maintenance, and maintaining accurate records, directly contributing to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor the daily scheduling and dispatch of vehicles and drivers.
  • Optimize routes and loads to ensure efficient delivery schedules and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, and driver logs.
  • Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to company policies and road safety regulations.
  • Handle unexpected delays or issues, providing timely solutions and communication to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with fleet reporting and analysis to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Ensure all fleet documentation, including registrations and permits, are current and compliant.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics, transport, or fleet coordination role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Solid understanding of transport regulations and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with fleet management software (e.g., GPS tracking, TMS).
  • Local knowledge of the Gippsland region and Australian road networks.
