Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Subsea Engineer to join our dynamic team in Oxford. In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and execution of various subsea projects across the oil and gas industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and complex engineering challenges, contributing to the successful delivery of projects from conceptual design through to commissioning. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and engage with clients to ensure project objectives are met with the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed engineering design and analysis for subsea systems and components, including pipelines, risers, manifolds, and wellheads.
  • Develop technical specifications, drawings, and reports in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and provide technical support during all project phases.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools for modeling, simulation, and analysis of subsea structures.
  • Participate in design reviews, supplier evaluations, and factory acceptance tests.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in subsea engineering.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Ocean, Civil, or Marine Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in subsea or offshore engineering.
  • Proficiency with engineering design and analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, OrcaFlex).
  • Strong understanding of subsea codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV, ABS).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
  • Experience with various subsea field developments and installation methodologies.
  • Project management experience or certification.
