Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker / Carpenter to join our dedicated team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the full lifecycle of custom cabinet and millwork production, from interpreting blueprints and selecting materials to precise cutting, assembly, finishing, and installation. Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and design specifications to create custom cabinetry and millwork.
  • Select, measure, and cut various types of wood and composite materials with precision using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Assemble cabinet components, drawers, doors, and other millwork items accurately.
  • Perform finishing tasks including sanding, staining, painting, and applying protective coatings.
  • Install finished cabinets and millwork on-site, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and functionality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet design specifications and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance on woodworking machinery and equipment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or Carpenter.
  • Proficiency in operating a wide range of woodworking machinery, including saws, routers, planers, and sanders.
  • Expertise in joinery techniques, assembly, and finishing processes.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and measurement skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of various wood types, materials, and their properties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal vocational training or apprenticeship in cabinet making or carpentry.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software for woodworking.
  • Previous experience in a custom fabrication or millwork shop.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
