Job Description
Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiographer/Sonographer to join our dynamic imaging team in Hyde Park, Cincinnati. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a significant impact in a leading healthcare system. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and contributing to accurate diagnoses. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography and sonography procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout all procedures.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, performing quality control checks as required.
- Accurately position patients for optimal image quality and minimal radiation exposure.
- Evaluate images for technical quality, proper labeling, and diagnostic clarity.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the PACS and EMR systems.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to all departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of procedures to patients.
Required Skills
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and/or ARDMS certification in Sonography.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating radiography and/or sonography equipment.
- Strong understanding of anatomical structures and imaging principles.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Eligibility for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship (relevant professional qualifications, sufficient English language proficiency, etc.).
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Additional certifications (e.g., CT, MRI, Vascular Sonography).
- Experience with EPIC EMR and PACS systems.
- Previous experience working in a large hospital system.
